Commitment to Corporate Responsibility and Fulfillment of Ethical and Social Due Diligence Obligations

The company Heinerle-Berggold defines the following as its Code of Conduct.
This code outlines, within the framework of corporate due diligence, our responsibility regarding legal compliance, social standards, accountability toward employees and the environment, continuous improvement of quality and food safety, and our highest level of commitment to our customers.

We stand firmly for equal treatment and fairness in the workplace.
Furthermore, we reject and condemn any form of discrimination – whether in hiring, salary, access to training, promotion, dismissal, or retirement – based on gender, age, religion, ethnicity, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, or any other individual characteristic.

We fully implement the provisions of the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
Should any employee feel unfairly or unjustly treated at work, they have the right to contact the company’s Equal Opportunity Officer.

It is a matter of course for us to source raw materials in a socially responsible manner.
We are committed to actively contributing to the elimination of social grievances and environmental destruction in order to ensure a sustainable supply of high-quality cocoa and other raw materials.
Our engagement in sustainable cocoa cultivation follows internationally recognized social and ecological standards.
We are proud to be certified under the Rainforest Alliance and Fairtrade for Cocoa programs and are committed to maintaining these certifications in the future.

These initiatives are among the largest sustainability movements worldwide, supporting smallholder farmers in cocoa-growing regions to improve working conditions and combat abuses such as child and forced labor.

All forms of exploitation and child labor are strictly prohibited under the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations and are not tolerated in any way.
The use of physical punishment, coercion, or verbal abuse is not accepted.
Every employee has the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
Compliance with applicable laws and industry standards regarding fair compensation and benefits is mandatory, and any illegal or unjustified wage deductions are strictly prohibited.

An effective anti-bribery and anti-corruption policy is of vital importance to our company, ensuring ethical business practices and fairness in all interactions.
Such a policy not only minimizes risk but also strengthens confidence in the integrity of our organization.

We attach great importance to ensuring that all goods produced along our entire supply chain comply with recognized social and environmental standards.
For this reason, we have asked our business partners to voluntarily commit to our Supplier and Service Provider Code of Conduct.

This ensures that the labor and social standards defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO) as well as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) are respected and upheld – both by us and by our partners.
